I will arrive at the youth cottage at the end of May. Please feel free to stop by anytime. Whether you're a local or it's your first time on the island we'd love to have you! We have so much in store for this summer and don't want you to miss it!

Hi! In May I will graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In my time there, I have studied Education and American History. This fall, I will be returning to UNC to get my Master of Arts in Teaching with hopes of becoming an elementary school teacher.

I grew up in Wilmington, N.C., and even though my family moved to Charlotte, N.C., following my senior year of high school, I still consider Wilmington and the beach to be my “home”. I have participated in sports my whole life and I enjoy anything that keeps me active. During the summer, I love going out on the boat and waterskiing or wake boarding, but I also enjoy being able to lay out on the beach and read or play land sports.

In my time at UNC, I learned what it meant to be a disciple of Christ and how I can use what I have learned to go and make disciples on campus and in the world. Being the Youth Minister last summer allowed me to steward those skills to the youth of Topsail Island. I am so excited to be returning this summer to continue sharing my faith with the youth and seeing the ways in which they help me grow in my faith and in my relationship with Christ.

My favorite bible verse is from Psalms 19:1“The Heavens declare the glory of God, but the skies above proclaim his handiwork.”
